flying high

After a super rainy Friday-Saturday, NYC got a sun-filled Sunday. And I got to go on a helicopter ride over the big apple. I flew up the west side of Manhattan and back down and around the Statue of Liberty...but could see all of the 5 boroughs + NJ with ease. NYC is so full and compact - all in its pristine grid structure (the creators of the city were definitely Type A *wink*), which is so amazingly apparent in such an expansive aerial view. As it took a mere 5 minutes to fly from the southern most tip of South Ferry to the northern tip of Washington Heights, it's a crazy realization that this small island is so responsible for so much culture, business, people, neighborhoods... With a R-E-S-P-E-C-T nod to NYC, have a great start to another busy week!
