uppercase magazine

I recently started a subscription to a new print magazine Uppercase Magazine and last night I finally had a chance to peruse through the 1st issue for Spring {April 2009}. With the tagline, "a magazine for the creative and curious," this 84-page magazine is a treat for the eyes. Using a beautiful matte paper stock perfectbound, each page has its own custom layout filled with photographs, illustrations, digital art, typography, well-written articles, and more. Created by Uppercase located in Calgary, Canada, they have a gallery, online shop, blog, the works going on. You can tell that the magazine was produced with care and a eye for detail - and I totally appreciate that effort. {Not that I know them...} but wishing them congratulations on their beautiful and original debut magazine~
