maya lin {flash website}
I'm usually not a huge fan of all Flash websites - loading time, can't cut and paste text!, waiting for lines and graphics to move out of my way, etc - but I do see some websites that use it just right. Just the right amount of animation that is executed well to make the interface really slick and just the right amount of innovative design to create a mini piece of online art. There are a few I can name but today I thought to share Maya Lin Studio's website. It has these micro-thin slivers of images that fall in to place to represent her professional timeline. And as you roll over the slight color, images of her projects brighten up the black background. I visited her website as I am REALLY hoping to check out her new landscape art {Storm King Wavefield} at Storm King that just opened to the public. Have to mark that one on the calendar...
