nyc on display {anthropologie}

I have always admired the window displays of the Anthropologie stores - they are so creative with materials, ideas and execution. Not sure if this is done in any of the other stores, but I passed by the windows of their Rockefeller Center store - and they had a bunch of windows with a NYC theme. {I think because this area is heavy with tourists - it's a location-specific display.} The photographs above was my favorite window - I heart NY made of their store merchandise mixed in with vintage chotchkies. The "I" is a dressed mannequin. The "heart" is a wall collage of red shoes, tourist souvenirs, metrocards, NYC guidebooks and more. The "NY" is large 3D letters covered in NYC subway maps and enlarged postal envelopes. It's an eye-catcher as a whole and a thoughtful + unique display when you take the time to look at the details. And when you walk around the multiple windows, you see the whole collection of NYC-inspired displays. I wonder if they do other city-inspired windows at their other city locations?
